3Delight Proxy

Golaem Crowd Proxy for 3Delight is a preconfigured 3Delight RIB Archive node which, when a 3Delight rendering is launched, will automatically creates the crowd character geometry in your Maya Scene based on the exported simulation cache. This Archive node contains all the rendering parameters as Extra Attributes in the Attribute Editor.

Creating a Crowd Proxy For 3Delight can be performed through the following options:
  • Crowd Render Menu: Crowd Proxy for 3Delight;
  • MEL command: glmCrowdProxy3DelightCmd;

Note that to be able to create a Crowd Proxy For 3Delight, 3Delight needs to be loaded in Maya (3delight _for_mayaXXXX.mll).

CONFIGURATION

A Crowd Proxy for 3Delight defines the following attributes in the Extra Attributes panel. If the proxy is created in a scene where a crowd is simulated, most of those parameters are automatically filled at its creation but are editable if needed.

Time Attributes

Frame the value of the current frame;
Frame Rate the value of the scene frame rate;

Simulation Attributes

Scene Name the name of the Maya scene file;
RIB file dir the directory where the simulation RIB files have been exported
 
When a render is launched, the RIB Filename field of the RIB Archive node is automatically filled.
